  1.     Welcome to the Walnut Creek Tookkit for Linux CDROM
  2.  
  3. This CD contains Linux related files from tsx-11.mit.edu and
  4. sunsite.unc.edu collected during November 1993. In addition Free
  5. Software Foundation sources from prep.ai.mit.edu are included as these
  6. form the basis for most of Linux's utilities. Last (but not least)
  7. some sources from ftp.uu.net are included for mail/news programs.

  9. Also included is the slackware 1.1.0 release.
  10.  
  11. If you don't already have Linux installed on a machine you can install
  12. from the slackware directory or from the MCC distribution in
  13. tsx-11/distributions/MCC. Both are fine packages. Slackware includes
  14. everything you can expect in a unix-like system and more, MCC is
  15. smaller but highly regarded and easily expandable from packages on
  16. this CD.

  18. If you are new to Linux look in the directory /slackware for
  19. information on the slackware package or the /tsx-11/docs and
  20. tsx-11/docs/HOWTO for introductory information.
